About Us

Subhadip Roy Chowdhury, the 36th generation of the Sabarna Roy Choudhury family and is known as a regional history researcher. Regular writer in many news media and editor of Khabar24 bengali media. Besides this, he has special experience in Tantra, Vastu and Astrology.

He was born as the son of Subrata Roy Chowdhury, the eldest son of Ramapati Roy Chowdhury in Dhakuria, South Kolkata. After higher secondary examination from Ballygunge Govt. High School in South Kolkata, he graduated from Scottish Church College in the history department and completed his post graduation from Vidyasagar University. Then he researched the Mughal dynasty for a long time from West Bengal State Archeology Research Center. In addition to studies, Subhadip has received special honors in the music world for a long time. He took long musical training from legendary composer Sri Jatilseshwar Mukhopadhyay, composer Suprakash Chaki, Acharya Jayanta Sarkar, Pandit Shyamal Lahiri, Acharya Shyamal Bose. Besides, he learned other musical instruments including guitar for a long time at Bengal Music School. Received several awards for outstanding drawings. At present, he gives music training to many students.

His book 'Banedi Kolkatar Durgotsava' is very popular. In 2022, he was honored with a special honor by the Union Minister of State Subhash Sarkar. The Durgotsava book of Kolkata is particularly popular in many media. The book has been penned by Pandit Ajay Chakraborty, Historian Soumitra Srimani, Prof. Dr. Supratim Das of Scottish Church College and many other distinguished guests. Especially rich for multiple readers. His book 'Sadhak Basudeb Paramahamser Puja Paddhati' is honored with special respect. Published a detailed research paper on Kolkata and Kalighat from the Archaeological Research Center. He has even been in the role of a journalist for a long time in various media. He has been regularly writing research and political/cultural articles in several newspapers, including the Saptahik Bartaman Patrika, Aajkal, Sangbad Samachar, Khabar24, Satskal Patrika, ETV Bharat, Todays Story etc.

Apart from this, Subhadip (alias Kulabadhutacharya Somananda Nath) in family sources is eminent in Tantra and Astrology. He established the Bagalamukhi Matri Mission in different states of India, creating many disciples and devotees. He is loved by Sadhak Divyasundara, Sri Yoginatha Acharya, Sri Kalyan Goswami, Sri Jyotisha Bharati Subhas.
